YIL Apprenticeship 2026 for 3979 Vacancies, Apply By March 3!

The Yantra India Limited has released a notification for the engagement of apprentices under the Trade Apprentices Act, 1961, and has invited eligible Indian nationals to apply who are interested in obtaining a National Apprenticeship Certificate in various disciplines.

The YIL Apprenticeship 2026 application forms will be available from February 1, 2026, until March 3, 2026. Candidates interested in obtaining a National Apprenticeship Certificate are requested to submit their application forms without waiting until the last date.

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply online for the YIL Apprenticeship 2026, it is necessary that you meet the following educational qualifications and age limit requirements.

Educational Qualification 

  • Non-ITI candidates are required to have passed the matriculation examination with a minimum aggregate score of 50%, and a minimum score of 40% in individual subjects of Science and Mathematics is mandatory.
  • You must have obtained an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an SCVT or NCVT recognized institute with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. It is also required that you have secured at least 50% marks in your matriculation.
  • Candidates who have already obtained a National Apprenticeship Certificate are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit 

  • The minimum age limit is 14 years, but for hazardous trades, it is 18 years. The upper age limit is 35 years for all trades.
  • The maximum age limit for all categories is 35 years. No age relaxation is applicable for any revolutionary, whether they belong to the OBC, SC, or ST categories.
  • The cut-off date to calculate age is March 3, 2026.

Application Fee

Male candidates belonging to the Unreserved and Other Backward Class categories who wish to apply for the apprenticeship engagement under Yantra India Limited must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹200.

The application fee is ₹100, which is non-refundable, for all female and transgender candidates, as well as male candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Physically Handicapped categories.

Selection Process 

The YIL Apprenticeship 2026 selection process consists of shortlisting. Non-ITI candidates will be shortlisted based on their matriculation exam marks, while ITI candidates will be shortlisted based on a 50-50 weighting of their ITI marks and matriculation exam marks.

Shortlisting for the non-ITI applications will be done factory-wise, while for the ITI candidates, shortlisting will be done both factory-wise and trade-wise. The merit list for this will be released within four weeks of the application form deadline.

Stipend 

During your apprenticeship training at Yantra India Limited, you will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,200 if you are a non-ITI candidate, and the stipend for Ex-ITI candidates is ₹9,600. Apart from this stipend, you will not receive any other benefits such as DA, or HRA.
