Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the recruitment of Development Assistant under the NABARD are as follows, go through the listed points to check if you can apply for this recruitment.
Nationality
- You must be an Indian citizen, and reside in any state or union territory.
Educational Qualification
- Development Assistant: You must have pursued a bachelor’s degree in any subject or stream from a recognised institution with at least 50% score as aggregate.
- Development Assistant (Hindi): Bachelor’s degree in English or Hindi medium with Hindi or English as elective subject or main subject with 50% score as aggregate.
- Your age shouldn’t be below 21 and above 35 years, the age relaxation is applicable for 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 5 years for SC and ST candidates.
Additionally, candidates who belong to SC, ST, PWBD and EXS need only pass marks in the qualifying bachelor’s degree.

Selection Process
The selection process for the recruitment of Development Assistant under the NABARD consists multiple stages, which are as follows:

The preliminary exam is screening, the main examination is scoring and the language proficiency test is qualifying in nature; the final selection list for appointment will be prepared based on performance in the main examination.
Exam Pattern
The NABARD will conduct the both preliminary exam and main examination for the Development Assistant positions in CBT mode with an exam time duration of 60 minutes and 135 minutes, respectively.

Each objective question carries a weightage of 1 mark, and 0.25 mark is going to be deducted for incorrect response for objective question. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi, except the language section.
Pay Scale
Candidates selected as Development Assistant under the NABARD will receive a starting basic pay of ₹23,100 per month in the scale ₹20,700–55,700 under the 7th CPC, with DA, HRA, transport and other allowances. Initial gross monthly salary is likely to be around ₹46,500.
