Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the job of Adult Education Instructor under the International Rescue Committee, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility requirements:

Key Responsibilities
If you are appointed as an AEU under the IRC, you will be required to work a total of 37.5 hours per week, which includes 20 hours of teaching, 10 hours of lesson planning, 5 hours of administrative tasks, and 2 to 2.5 hours of meetings. You can understand the responsibilities of this job from the following points:
- Your primary duty is teaching English to adult refugees and immigrants, which includes job-related English, daily life skills, and cultural orientation. Additionally, you will need to learn basic computer skills, and you will have to use different teaching methods for different people because the formal education of all immigrants and refugees will not be the same.
- You will have to prepare the weekly lesson plans yourself, and the lesson plans should be creative enough to adequately address the capabilities of each learner, helping them in their daily lives.
- You will also need to conduct pre-tests and post-tests regularly and assess their capabilities, and also monitor their learning progress.
- You will also need to collaborate in teamwork, which may require you to attend meetings. Typically, in these meetings, you will need to coordinate with your supervisor. You may also be responsible for handling new registrations and taxes.

Salary & Benefits
