The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has officially released a notification on January 1, 2026, for recruitment to various Constable posts under the Police Department and has invited applications from eligible candidates.

HSSC Constable Eligibility Criteria 2026
In order to apply for the recruitment of Constable under the Police Department, Government of Haryana, you are required to meet the eligibility criteria.
- You have passed the HSSC Common Eligibility Test Group C.
- You have passed the Class 12 Exam with any stream from a recognised university.
- You have studied Sanskrit or Hindi as language subjects upto Matriculation level.
- You shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 28 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable for 5 years for SC, ST and PwBD.
HSSC Constable Selection Process 2026

Physical Measurement Test
It consists of measurement of height and chest for male, and only height for female. Refer to the table to check the details.

Physical Screening Test
It consists of a single event, which is a race for both male and females. Details for the same are tabulated below.

Knowledge Test
It will be held in offline mode with an exam duration of 1.5 hours. There will be a total number of 100 objective-type questions from different subjects of each 0.97 mark, and no mark is going to be deducted for each incorrect response.
There will be five options for each question, for unattempted question 0.97 mark will be deducted. In case of not touching a question, you have to color fifth option. The medium of this exam will be both English and Hindi.
If you have an NCC (National Cadet Corps) certificate of A, B or C level, you get 01, 02 and 03 marks, respectively.
