The South Africa-based construction company, Concor, invites online applications from qualified individuals for the position of Quality Assurance/Control Inspector. The company has started accepting job applications, and they will accept the application till 3 February 2026. 

The selected candidates will work in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, and report directly to the QA/QC Manager. The selected candidates will work on a limited-duration contract (LDC).

• You must have experience of a relevant building trade apprenticeship related to the field.

• You must have at least 5 years of experience as a QA/QC inspector or equivalent role in the construction industry. 
• You must be a South African citizen and must have a valid driver’s licence. 
• You should have advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). 
• You should be able to understand, read, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans. 
• You should be familiar with the construction quality control standards of South Africa and testing methodologies. 
• You must have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as in a team, and sound judgement.

Key Responsibilities 

If you are successful in grabbing this opportunity and get selected as the Concor QA/QC Inspector, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• You will be responsible for the recording and documentation of the inspection records following the work in progress. 
• You will coordinate with inspectors, book inspections, and sign off structures with the client and the team. 
• You will be assisting with the client complaints and investigating the quality of the buildings.
• You will make sure the problems are fixed, follow up with the problem, and check if the solution applied is really working. 
• You will assist in auditing the Quality Management Practices of suppliers and contractors to keep the good quality. 
• You will be assisting in off-site and on-site inspection of vendors, suppliers, and contractors’ activities.
• You will also keep a check on the manufacturing items that will be delivered to the site to ensure their legal use.
• You will update and maintain quality records and record books to submit to the client later on to ensure the quality of the construction project. 
• You must know how to understand and read the specifications, plans, and designs to understand the product and service requirements. 
• Your recommendation for the project improvement, quality control, and enhancing the process of the project. 
• You will present the documented inspection reports and performance records for later presentation. 
• You will supervise the production team and the process to guide them for the project and the quality control concerns to enhance the product excellence. 
• If any quality control issues in the project can hinder the project duration, you will be responsible to resolve it.
• You will schedule the site inspections frequently and conduct audits to ensure the product quality and duration as per the contract specification.
