As a Containment Level 3 Manager under the University of Oxford, you will be required to perform the following duties:

• The first aspect is the initiation and operation of the laboratory, which includes starting up and safely operating a CL3 laboratory.
• The second aspect is compliance with safety regulations, which involves ensuring that all safety and health rules are strictly followed.
• Overseeing daily operations, including routine laboratory tasks such as cleaning, waste management, and maintaining safety protocols.
• Managing staff and users, including guiding and supporting both staff and researchers to ensure they perform their tasks effectively.
• Testing and qualification, which includes providing and recording safety training for new employees and researchers.

As a Containment Level 3 Manager at the University of Oxford, the salary you will receive upon appointment will be in accordance with Pay Level Grade 8, which ranges from £49,119 to £58,265 per year, with the possibility of a higher salary of up to £63,489 per year in exceptional circumstances.

In addition to your salary, you will also receive an Oxford Allowance, which can be up to $1,730 per year, pro-rata based.   You will also have the opportunity to benefit from: an excellent contributory pension scheme, a comprehensive range of childcare services, family leave schemes, and a cycle loan scheme.
